"After the Penang outlet, this Ampang branch is my next favourite. It’s the closest in KL that delivers the same consistent nasi kandar taste. The sotong is fresh and crispy, the ayam bawang is tender even with the breast part. End your meal with their putu mayam and teh tarik — perfect texture, served with fresh coconut and gula aren (not brown sugar, which makes all the difference). Very satisfying!"

"Very crowded!!! But we can understand why. Its so sedap. We spent about RM600++ nearly RM700. But 10 of us eating. Its super worth it. 2 portion of everything. We ordered way too much. We didnt expect the portion to be VERY VERY BIG. We ended up packing the extras. On top of that, they even gave us extras. PANAS PANAS SEHHH!! We brought to our apartment, and its still doesnt spoilt. So we can tell they dont keep their dishes long. Very well recommended!!! Cant get this quality in SG, seriously."

"Food is like any other Nasi Kandar, with better presentation. The price is higher than most. The atmosphere is excellent for solo, group or family. Good place to go for a change. Recommended for first try. You have to decide for the next after that."

"The food here is simply delicious. The price is a bit expensive when compared to other Mamak restaurants. But for me it is worth it, because you are given the option to choose, and of course I will choose the good taste over the mediocre one. The onion chicken is the best I've ever tasted. "Food and drinks are very good. They are very generous with gravy. They even have my favourite putu mayam. The boss in the picture is very friendly and offers us complimentary nasi briyani. He is also very kind-hearted that he himself packs the rice with dishes to a homeless guy who comes to the restaurant to beg for food. Highly recommended!"

"Lovely! Had pomegranate juice, seasonal drink. Very nice and fresh. Had the mix platter too, honestly it’s so much better than a lot of other Arab restaurants. Hussain was a very good server, and the owner also came to visit our table which was nice :)"

"This is an amended review after not visiting this restaurant for many years. Had been twice and although did not order a lot, i have been very satisfied. Good nescafe C and very good ghee dosa too. I revised my previous star of 1 to a new 4. --------------------- The guy making tea must unlearn, the tea powder used must have been the cheapest and water tastes cholric, please improve your tea guys, and btw whose dumbest idea is it to use a mug instead of normal glass. Told by a fried roti chanai is the best here, damn he was wrong, the dough tastes like instant roti from tesco and where does that yellow colour come from? I asked for kari ikan but was given chicken curry with chicken feet it it. Come on guys, you can be that cheap after more than 100 yrs in business. I am a big fan of hameediyah penang but this ampang one brings bad name to penang Deco and ambience ok la, but who give a damn if roti and curry miss by 10 miles"

"The nasi kandar taste is there, just not as strong like in Penang. The place is clean. The staff are nice and friendly. The location is strategic. As for the price, no need to say much—since it’s right in the middle of Kuala Lumpur, it’s obviously expensive. The portion is standard for one person."
